CBS Television Stations consists of 28 CBS-owned stations in 17 major U.S. markets, as well as the stations’ digital properties. The portfolio of stations includes 15 that are part of the CBS Television Network, eight affiliates of The CW Network, three independent stations and two MyNetworkTV affiliates.

The station group’s properties also include CBSN Local, a joint initiative with CBS Interactive that features direct-to-consumer streaming news services in the markets where the Company has local news organizations. CBS Television Stations’ premium local content is also distributed to consumers by the group’s websites and mobile applications.

Compensation and Benefits include: Base Salary ($60,000 - $75,000/year depending on experience) and eligibility for Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) Plan, Life Insurance Coverage, Disability Benefits, Tuition Assistance Program, PTO.

Responsibilities:
-Report live and on tape, scripted and unscripted, with clarity, accuracy and confidence/Cover breaking news with a sense of urgency
-Collaborate effectively with a wide range of personnel to create compelling content/ Develop and execute enterprise content on a consistent basis
-Maintain a steadfast commitment to accuracy and fairness
-Write clearly and interestingly and use video and graphics to illustrate facts and ideas in the story/shoot,write and edit packages for daily newscasts
-Strong live shot skills a must
-Generate story ideas and participate in editorial meetings/Produce content for Twitter, Facebook and other social media sites
-Appear at public and station events, as required/Establish and maintain relationships/sources in the community

Qualifications:
-Three years' experience on air, preferably in a top 20 market
-Must be able to work independently with a high degree of accuracy and have the ability to solve problems quickly
-Must have a very strong social media skills and able to contribute on all platforms
-Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, holidays & ON CALL shifts
Other duties as assigned
