MTV Entertainment Group – which consists of a portfolio of iconic brands such as MTV, Comedy Central, Paramount Network, VH1, CMT, Smithsonian and more as well as the award-winning MTV Entertainment Studios with a roster of #1 hits that includes: Yellowstone and its successful franchises – 1883 and Mayor of Kingstown on Paramount+, South Park, RuPaul’s Drag Race, The Challenge, The Daily Show with Trevor Noah, and the Jersey Shore franchise to name a few – is looking for an upbeat, inquisitive and hard-working PR pro to join the team and work on its linear and streaming franchises. This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing essential communications campaigns, key initiatives – from social impact to big tentpoles like the VMAs to awards – working hand in hand with executives across all departments within the company and external producing partners to ensure cohesive messaging and coordination.



  • Develop and implement strategic publicity campaigns that incorporate both new and traditional tactics.
  • Must bring to the role strong press relationships and a deep bench with an emphasis on consumer and off the entertainment pages.
  • Lead all aspects of creation of press materials including releases, media alerts, show synopses, talent biographies, pitches, tip sheets and itineraries.
  • Handle awards submissions and campaigns for series, tentpoles and specials.
  • Plan and complete set visits, screenings, junkets, and more.
  • Understand and promote brand messaging in pitches/stories.
  • Forge great relationships with key external partners, including producers, showrunners and talent representatives.
  • Manage and mentor junior staff.
  • Lead ratings release efforts on assigned projects.
  • Identify/implement key opportunities for executives through panels/speaking engagements and industry “top executive” lists. 


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required with a minimum of 12 years of experience in entertainment publicity - studio, network, streaming platform, agency.
  • Experience with crisis PR.
