Overview & Responsibilities

We are looking for a Senior Designer, Softlines/ Apparel & Accessories, Home who has in-depth knowledge of and hands-on experience working in these respective markets. Working directly with our domestic licensees, he/she is responsible for monitoring the product development process under the supervision of the VP, Design, and ensuring all creative brand strategies are maintained. The Senior Designer must have a strong art, design, and color-sense; print and pattern knowledge; and understanding of market trends and competition. Experience with traditional retail, ecom and Amazon markets, as well as the ability to work in a fast paced organization is essential.

•    Lead all aspects of domestic product development for ViacomCBS brands and ensure quality product from licensees
•    Review submissions on domestic licensed products and collaborations and respond with comments in a timely manner
•    Ensure products are consistent with market and consumer trends, while staying true to the specific ViacomCBS brand
•    Maintain positive relationships with internal and external teams
•    Alert partners to new developments applicable to their business needs
•    Regularly review creative and business needs with our VP, Design
•    Research and stay on top of all fashion and art trends, techniques, and technology
•    Assist in the development of domestic seasonal trend boards and presentations
•    Create CAD’s and lifestyle photo-real mock-ups

Basic Qualifications
•    6+ years’ experience in the fashion industry with product development experience from concept to final product
•    Proficiency in Illustrator, Photoshop and Microsoft Office


Additional Qualifications
•    Ability to monitor the department’s workload under the direction of the VP, Design
•    Strong creative abilities in fashion and graphic design, including repeat and pattern development
•    Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, be a great teammate, and remain flexible
•    Excellent written and oral communication skills
•    Strong organization, follow-up skills, and attention to detail
•    Ability to recognize relevant trends in apparel and graphic design
•    Experience researching online trends and social media trends
•    Professionalism, maturity and enthusiasm is a must!
