We develop industry-leading custom marketing campaigns, bring to bear the network’s talent and characters for advertising clients.

 

 

Overview

The Viacom Velocity team is looking for a Copywriter to conceptualize, write, and execute promotions for movie studio clients as well as various non-studio clients across the Nickelodeon kids and family brands.

The ideal candidate is a bold, hard-working, digitally savvy creative professional able to excel in a fast-paced environment.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Ideating and scripting engaging on brand copy for linear spots, digital content and social posts
  • Will lead the digital copy for branded programming on all Nickelodeon YouTube channels
  • Be a key contributor to the team’s brainstorms and collaborate with the team to build innovative content ideas, translating those ideas to pitches and ultimately scripts.
  • Demonstrate excellent writing skills — grammar, vocabulary, attention to detail, etc
  • Assists to creatively coordinate live action shoots working with producers, including giving feedback on storyboards, joining pre-production calls, providing on set creative direction, etc
  • Creatively coordinates post-production including edit sessions, sound design and mix, color correction and graphics work
  • Manage multiple projects and complete tasks on time
  • Presenting and pitching concepts and scripts directly to clients or internal teams
  • Stay up to date with YouTube, Facebook, and trends on social media

 

Basic Qualifications

  • 4+ years experience

 

 

Additional Qualifications

  • Incredible aptitude for writing creative, compelling copy
  • Strong background in concepting and digital copy writing.
  • Is a self-starter with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to recognize if creative is working or not and how to fix it if not
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a pressured and constantly changing environment
  • Ability to work with clients and manage their ‘on the spot’ demands
  • Ability to provide clear feedback and direction
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task and extremely detail oriented
  • Sense of humor
  • Experience with kids brands or passion for kids programming a plus
