Role Details:

Paramount + seeks a DevOps Engineer for online television and media focused applications. In this role, you will support infrastructure and platforms that serve our customers. We have diverse infrastructure that spans Windows, Mac and Linux servers in the cloud. This is a great opportunity for a seasoned DevOps Engineer to manage a wide range of existing technology with an opportunity to modernize it into the cloud. You thrive on monitoring, performance and uptime. You thrive on systems well run and thrive on creating systems that are reliable, detailed and monitored across multiple metrics. You love CI/CD and think releases should happen multiple times a day with fast feedback mechanisms. You have experience with being on-call and thrive on ownership and systems reliability.

 

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Lead the design, implementation of our mobile infrastructure including CI/CD pipelines, provisioning, sizing, and infrastructure as code activities
  • Implement performance and automation tools across infrastructure, applications and networks
  • Handle CI/CD pipelines for the central team and the various business units
  • Support our development teams across multiple products in an AGILE environment
  • Build infrastructure that detects patterns with the vast amount of data using ML techniques
  • Extend feedback mechanisms into the pipeline with test automation tools and frameworks
  • Work closely with our iOS and Android developers to help with pipeline test enablement across mobile devices, emulators and simulators

 

Key Projects:

  • Lead the performance and automation efforts of pipelines to reduce manual intervention
  • Implementation of Infrastructure as Code for provisioning using tools such as Terraform
  • Work with our development teams on improving system scalability and reliability
  • Work with the AI/ML teams to detect patterns and build self-monitoring systems

 

Qualifications:
 

What you bring to the team:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years managing and monitoring Linux and Mac systems including xCode server
  • 1+ years leading the design and implementation of Cloud systems in AWS/GCP using tools like Terraform, Jenkins and respective scripting languages like Shell or Python
  • 1+ years of experience with OO programming, ideally familiar with Swift or Kotlin for mobile native
  • Experience with test automation tools like Espresso for Android and XCTest for iOS
  • 1+ years’ experience setting up/managing performance tools like Locust or JMeter

 

On call experience

  • Attention to detail and ability to handle numerous projects
  • Demonstrated ability to work with 3rd parties and collaborate on solutions
