The Director of Talent Development Programming will build, develop, and drive Nickelodeon Animation Studios development programs for early to mid career artists and creators to expand their skillsets and create pathways into productions, movies, current series, shorts and franchise projects.


  • Develop and curate studio-wide creative programs for artistic talent
  • Partner with Studio Leadership for show timelines and department talent needs, identify, and execute development opportunities with the intent to expose our leaders and their teams to up and coming new talent
  • Develop additional internal training requirements for the program that incorporates production
  • Build program and curriculum and procedures for specific internal departments in partnership with Artist Management
  • Story
  • Design
  • Partner with schools/ external organizations and programs to foster and pipeline talent
  • Track, manage & evaluate program progress, provide resources, training, tools, etc.
  • Partner with Recruitment/Outreach/Social for visibility for the programs
  • Keep up to date with tools, resources, programs to maintain relevancy within the studio and the industry
  • Strategize with an inclusive pipeline lens
  • Oversee all aspects of Nickelodeon Animation Studio Nicktern Program
  • Responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and execution of an internship program
  • Recruit and assign interns to various departments and manage site supervisors
  • Act as the liaison between Nickelodeon Animation Studio and educational institutions, i.e., schools, community colleges, etc.
  • Work in tandem with ViacomCBS Campus to Career Program


  • Proven experience in Learning & Development/Training programming
  • 5+ years management/mentorship/leadership experience
  • Outstanding leadership and teambuilding experience
  • Curriculum or development experience
  • Familiarity with partnering and influencing Creative leadership regarding talent performance
  • Understanding of the Animation Industry
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Passion and patience working with developing emerging talent
  • Production, Animation, or Entertainment experience a plus
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
