The Production Data Analyst will be an integral part of the central analytical team that provides data, insights, and reporting across all of Nickelodeon Animation. The position will be involved with creating and executing the next generation of reports, dashboards, and analytical approaches to assess the performance of our artists, vendors, and projects. The role will perform deep dive research for the team to answer business-critical questions posed by senior leaders to monitor and optimize production performance and growth. This role reports to the Director of Production Scheduling, Analytics & Operations.

 

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Ability to quickly learn new concepts, think strategically and draw conclusions from data
  • Help shape and execute the data analytics strategy
  • Lead in-depth rigorous end-to-end data and analytics projects
  • Identify opportunities to leverage new tools and to optimize existing workflows
  • Participate in evaluating new technology investments and assess their viability
  • Fulfill ad hoc data requests to answer critical questions for production and business analysis
  • Become a data expert on the many sources and systems to ensure data integrity and report accuracy, working with technology teams to resolve technical data issues and recommend enhancements

 

 

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience Required:

  • 2+ years of experience working with data
  • A curious mind who is willing to help drive insights through data and storytelling
  • Experience using business intelligence tools to extract, visualize and analyze data, including working with relational databases
  • Attention to detail, desire for accuracy, and a strong sense of urgency
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical abilities
  • Highly collaborative with strong interpersonal and project management skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Tableau

 

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Experience and/or strong passion for film, animation or entertainment-related field preferred
  • Curious and scrappy personality
