Paramount+, a direct-to-consumer digital subscription video on-demand and live streaming service from ViacomCBS, combines live sports, breaking news, and a mountain of entertainment. Overview and Responsibilities

The Content Strategy team is looking for a Senior Manager of Programming who will lead all planning and scheduling aspects connected to linear channels within Paramount+! This role will manage and coordinate upwards of 20+ channels across multiple genres and connected to some of ViacomCBS’ strongest IP within the service. This includes working closely with Business and Legal Affairs on rights clearances, and planning and scheduling the programming blocks across each channel. The candidate will work closely across internal teams such as Video Operations, Product, Design, Curation, Marketing and Content Strategy to ensure accurate communication, execution and maintenance on all library film titles in the service.


Specific Responsibilities

  • Manage the planning and scheduling, execution, launch and curation of all VOD to linear channels in Paramount+.
  • Handle the asset lifecycle of content and rotating rights windows and availability of the content in service
  • Monitor all trends and performance data around titles within each channel to evolve the programming offering over time
  • Work alongside Product to identify discoverability of the channels within the service
  • Communicate titles, performance and data trends with teams for linear channels
  • Work with Social and Marketing to Develop digital content and social strategy in support of linear channel promotional efforts
  • Work with S&P. Business Affairs and Legal and Video Operations to identify any issues pertaining to sensitive series content, rights or legal issues or ratings assigned to the programming within
  • Plan, schedule and maintain and launch VOD to linear channels in the service
  • Monitor performance data and trends and communicate with key partners
  • Align with content strategy brand leads on appropriate communication with brand partners (ie. Kids & Family – Nickelodeon)


Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years in a programming, planning and scheduling or content strategy role for streaming services, television, feature film or interactive media
  • Proven success collaborating with cross-functional teams to manage complex projects across diverse groups or organizations
  • Excellent multi-tasking and project management skills with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, particularly with senior executives and external partners
  • Strong Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel (formulas, pivot tables, v lookups) skills


Additional Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree highly preferred
  • Subscription VOD service experience
  • Experience using Asana, Jira, project management tools
  • Ability to easily interact and collaborate with television production personnel
  • Diverse experience and skills across creative, project management, product and data/metrics
  • A self-starter, entrepreneurial demeanor who can manage multiple tasks/projects with limited support staff
  • Experience scheduling program grids desirable
  • Supervisory experience a plus
