We now have an exciting opportunity in our Sydney office for a keen and motivated Marketing and Publicity Coordinator.
The Marketing and Publicity Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative support for the Marketing and Publicity department in Australia.
You’ll be doing things like this:
- Maintaining databases, schedules and key departmental deadlines
- Managing the relationship with the media monitoring service. Managing and collating coverage for books and preparing weekly/monthly reports as needed
- Handling the events and Writers Festival administration
- Managing the Guaranteed read program
- Arranging travel and accommodation for author tours and events
- Managing orders from the warehouse and publicity mail-outs
- Managing general enquiries and the publicity inbox
- Uploading and distributing campaign presentations
- Work with the Marketing Designer on assets incl. banners, retailer assets, chapter samplers, etc.
- Managing and deploying weekly consumer and booksellers EDMS
- Managing and updating the website on weekly basis and/or as needed
- Managing invoices and entering expenses into the marketing budget
- Minute taking in key meetings
- Answering the phones and other office tasks on a rotation basis with other coordinators
This is what you’ll bring with you:
- Experience in a similar office-based administration or coordination role
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, high performing team environment
- Proven ability to meet deadlines
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt and to stay calm under pressure
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Detail oriented
- Genuine willingness to learn and help the team
- A passion for books and reading, and a desire to develop a career within the publishing industry
Extra brownie points for:
- Previous publishing experience would be great, but not essential
