SUMMARY: 
 
KTVT/KTXA, the CBS News Stations owned & operated in the Dallas/Fort Worth market, is searching for a News Business Manager primarily responsible for performance and support of the business/financial functions for the News, Engineering and Production departments. A successful candidate needs to be a multi-tasker with broad business experience, excellent communication, customer service, computer (specifically Excel), and organizational skills. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Generate PO’s for the News, Production and Engineeringdepartments
  • Distribution and coding of incoming invoices for approval by the appropriate department manager
  • Ensure timely delivery of invoices to GBS for entry
  • Follow up on purchase order / accounts payable issues
  • Order and Maintain Office Supplies
  • Track expenses monthly for appropriate departments
  • Assist in preparing and review expense reports
  • Assist in forecasting and budgeting for appropriate departments
  • Help maintain and track capital expenditures
  • Various other duties as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • 1-2 years of relevant business experience
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Highly computer literate, to include MS Office/Word/Excel
  • Experience with Oracle and Wide Orbit is a plus

 
Preferred Education Level: 
Bachelor’s Degree with a Major in Business/Accounting preferred 
Equivalent experience will be considered
