OVERVIEW & RESPONSIBILITIES:

We are seeking an individual to join the Data Strategy & Operations team within Corporate Research! The role would support business units across the Paramount portfolio in their data needs in transforming and manipulating data from a variety of sources; including data from Streaming, Social, Digital, and external platforms. This is done primarily through Domo via ETL or SQL transformations and would visualize the data through cards and dashboards. Work a hybrid schedule in the LA office or permanently remote.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

-  Design & develop solutions and processes to manipulate and transform data based on business requirements and internal clients. Translate data into actionable insights used for reporting/dashboarding

-  Collaborate and support internal Research, Analytics, and Technology teams as well as external vendors to gather requirements and translate those business requirements into useful Domo solutions

-  Automate existing manual reports and develop new reports by creating data solutions and Domo cards/dashboards

-  Architect data solutions to efficiently and accurately join disparate datasets to production-ready datasets for use by internal analysts

-  Optimize and tune existing data processes/dataflows for improved performance by staying on top of Domo platform updates and features

-  Provide ongoing support for internal partners, including identifying and resolving issues related to data loading, transformations, and visualizations as well as supporting users on the Domo platform


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

-  5+ years of working experience transforming complex data requirements into actionable datasets for reporting and visualization

-  Experience with ETL and BI tools

-  Proficient in SQL

-  Experience with social datasets


ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

-  Excellent communication skills with diverse stakeholders (technical and non-technical)

-  Broad understanding of datasets from streaming, social, and digital platforms including but not limited to Facebook, YouTube, Twitter (X), Instagram etc. 

-  Familiarity with SVOD and AVOD datasets

-  Familiar with various data transfer methods/protocols including but not limited to APIs, feeds, S3, S/FTP, Google Cloud Storage, querying data out of data warehouses, Snowflake etc.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

 

Hiring Salary Range: $135,000.00 - 145,000.00. 

 

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.  The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable,  as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
