Overview and Responsibilities
We are looking for a new Senior Research Analyst to join the CBS Research team! This position will be responsible for providing clear and actionable analysis to inform programming, marketing, and scheduling decisions for the network and studio. This role will work with the research team to ensure accurate and timely audience reporting for key stakeholders. The ideal candidate will:

  • Bring strong primary research experience in content testing (pilots, programs, key art, and promos) and ad hoc study design
  • Demonstrate excellent written and presentation design skills, with the ability to explain research results in a clear and compelling manner
  • Have experience in media measurement systems such as Nielsen, comScore, etc., including an understanding of Nielsen ratings metrics and advanced ratings analytics
  • Use all available research (primary and secondary) to develop complete, cohesive insights
  • Go beyond data reporting to analyze the “why” behind daily, weekly, and seasonal ratings trends
  • Collaborate well with other researchers and analysts within CBS to utilize data from different sources/methods to develop a clear and concise picture
  • Have experience in automating reporting processes

 

Basic Qualifications

  • 5 years of research experience at a media company
  • Professional Training, Technical Training or Certification
  • Bachelor’s Degree

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

 

Hiring Salary Range: $75,000.00 - 85,000.00. 

 

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.  The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable,  as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
