We are looking for a Senior Director, Marketing to join our marketing team for a 12 month FTC maternity cover. Oversee Marketing across all the Paramount UK brands, including, Channel 5, MTV, Comedy Central, BET and Nickelodeon. This role directly manages 3 x Heads of Marketing and oversees a team of 12.


What will you be doing?

The Senior Director of Marketing will have in-depth brand experience, proven track record in developing incredible brand positioning, best in class creative campaigns and results driven marketing strategies.  Ideally, you will have experience in youth and kids' marketing including consumer ATL, social and performance marketing. Strong digital background with a thorough understanding of 360 campaigns which are sharable, innovative and speak to our audiences. This person will have exceptional understanding of creative development.


Whilst this is a senior and strategic role, we need a candidate who can still be hands on with the day-to-day priorities of the channel and streaming brands whilst being a lynch-pin within the team. There's a requirement to build strong relationships with key stakeholders including The Director of Programmes and the Commissioners as well as international stakeholders. Managing quick turnaround projects and being fleet of foot to respond to the ever changing Free to Air environment.


The marketing department creates, distributes and oversees promotional messages, promoting key content and IP across our channels and streaming services (Paramount+) through owned and operated channels as well as paid campaigns. The successful candidate will form a strong relationship with their peer leads across PR, Production, Creative, Social, Media Planning, Events and Affiliate.

You will be a natural at leading teams, providing direction, inspiring & driving results. You will be responsible for managing and juggling budgets and prioritising spending.


Planning & Strategy

  • Development of the brand strategy and goals for the brands, in line with business goals
  • Prioritisation of projects, content and budgets
  • Ensure all creative & marketing campaigns are strategically linked to ROI and analyse the effectiveness of all communication
  • Quick response to fast turnaround challenges

On Brand, all assets, all channels & services

  • Ensuring the team understand the individual brands' personality, values and that these are consistently communicated in an authentic way through all marketing activity across various platforms
  • Oversee the development of creative paid and on-air campaigns which promote the key priorities
  • Working closely with the wider creative, marketing and PR teams so that campaigns are aligned and maximising recognition and reach
  • Working on event marketing when required
  • Inputting and overseeing consumer products marketing strategy and planning


People Management

  • Help to create the greatest possible workplace experience for employees.
  • Drive the ‘One Paramount’ approach, role modelling great teamwork and collaboration.
  • Be an ambassador for all Paramount brands and channels, internally and externally
  • Help to embed the Paramount values and foster a culture of inclusion
  • Develop a collaborative team, who work well with their cross-function counterparts
  • Manage the media agency relationship across all brands
  • Be a connector for the department, forging strong relationships across the wider Paramount business
  • Key stakeholder management across the Director of Programmes and commissioners


What are we looking for?

  • Experience across all marketing disciplines
  • Ideally experience working on marketing to both adults and kids
  • Experience in entertainment and or streaming a benefit
  • Significant senior management level experience and demonstrable evidence of implementing brand strategies and statistically measurable 360 marketing campaigns
  • Strong leadership and management experience which drives innovation, creativity and proven results
  • Highly collaborative team leader/player; comfortable with ambiguity and with leading in a matrix organisation
  • Strong numeracy, analytical & reporting skills alongside expert communication skills and style
