This position works on a team to manage the mastering of digital assets including, picture and sound.  The Senior Media Archivist is directly responsible for the creation and care of assets during their transition from delivering partners to our internal distribution groups. 

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Support Acquisitions team with management of feature and trailer assets 
  • Onboard new production and delivering partners 
  • Create Media Orders and Purchase Orders 
  • Schedule projects with both internal and external vendors 
  • Review and analyze master-level QC reports for media assets 
  • Communicate project statuses with all key stakeholders  
  • May assist other groups within Asset Management as needed 

 

Qualifications/Skills 

 

Basic qualifications: 

  • Minimum 7+ years in mastering and/or post production operations at any of the following: 
  • Studio 
  • Feature or Television productions 
  • Post Production facility 

 

Desired Skills 

  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail with an ability to see the big picture 
  • Collaborative and professional communication 
  • Familiar with analyzing and troubleshooting master-level QC reports  
  • Practical understanding of various digital media formats including SDR and HDR-UHD  
  • Ability to establish when issues require escalation to upper management  
  • Flexibility in managing multiple expectations in a fast paced, evolving environment 
  • Experience in Xytech, Excel/SharePoint and Ariba a plus

  • Current member of the MPEG Local 700 or willingness to join
