SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for providing support to Paramount Television by timely and efficiently preparing and coordinating television screen credits and guild arbitrations, and advising various departments on credit matters and procedures.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Preparing and confirming screen credits (including determining any underlying source material attribution), submitting notices of tentative writing credits to WGA and other various parties, preparing guild arbitrations, and acquiring guild waivers
  • Working with Business Affairs, Creative Affairs, Legal, Casting Administration, Production Personnel (Showrunners, Writers, Line Producer, Wardrobe, Art Department, Props), Standards & Practices, Casting, Music, Production, Finance, and Labor and advising regarding compliance with all credit procedures and requirements
  • Crafting policies and procedures for Paramount Television by incorporating industry practice and Paramount's existing policies
  • Working with various guilds to process credits across international productions
  • Working with all areas of Paramount, as well as exhibitors, to establish and maintain precedents relating to credits and source material attribution
  • Integrating with Paramount's existing Credits to facilitate consistency across all platforms
  • Modifying (as appropriate) Paramount's existing policies and procedures to meet the needs of Paramount Television
  • Supervise Senior Manager of Credits Administration


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 7 years of related experience
  • BA/BS degree (highly preferred)

 

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional and organized
  • Exemplary drafting skills
  • Ability to manage and prioritize a heavy workload while maintaining keen attention to detail
  • Extensive experience preparing screen credits for television programs (traditional and digital platforms)
  • Detailed knowledge of guild credit determination rules and procedures
