Sr. Financial Analyst, Transactional Accounting- Paramount Home Entertainment

This position is responsible for all accounting functions related to worldwide physical and digital distribution of feature motion pictures within the Home Entertainment Transactional Accounting Division!


Overview & Responsibilites

  • Prepare various month-end close financial statements (profit & loss, balance sheet, etc.)

  • Perform monthly analysis and reconciliations of balance sheet accounts

  • Review and analysis of Digital license agreements (interpret contractual terms; establish revenue recognition requirements; establish billing and payment terms).

  • Manage royalty statement processing in Media Maestro accounting system.
  • Assist with internal/external audit requests
  • Assist with ad-hoc reporting and analysis


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required, focus in Accounting, Finance or related areas preferred
  • 3+ years of related experience

Additional Qualifications

  • Experience with financial analysis, US GAAP and IFRS
  • Experience in month end close and reporting preferred
  • Advance proficiency MS Office (specifically Excel)
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Self-starter with ability to proactively identify issues and propose resolutions
  • Excellent written & verbal communication and inter-personal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, team-oriented environment
  • Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously, prioritize workload efficiently and meet strict deadlines
