We are currently seeking a highly motivated, proactive, and experienced Director or Senior Director level resource to join the Paramount Residuals team, primarily focused on our theatrical titles. This position is a key member in our residuals department and will interact with various departments such as Labor, Production Finance, and Business Affairs to facilitate various residual payments, claims, and projects.

 

Responsibilities include:

•    Oversight of general day-to-day operations of the theatrical residuals team in support of the VP-Residuals
•    Plan, forecast, and initiate monthly and quarterly payments
•    Track production status to determine setup priorities
•    Review talent set ups and other work performed by team
•    Perform and document final review and approval of all new product set ups and guild rule updates in PARIS
•    Monitor and review changes needed from deceased and dissolution updates
•    Prepare and monitor billbacks as required by agreements    
•    Communicate with production staff as needed for document requirement delivery and clarification     
•    Assist VP with review of IATSE and SAG Prorations for completeness and accuracy
•    Accumulate all 3rd party reporting receipts and EST for PARIS upload
•    Support VP with validation and proofing of various payments and final review of guild reports    
•    Support VP with general Basic Agreement interpretation perspectives as needed
•    Coordinate with Residuals team members to provide internal, external, SOX, and guild audit support as needed
•    Work directly with auditors and guild reps on claims and audit reports, escalating to VP as needed    
•    Create tools and processes, improve existing methodologies for departmental efficiencies including develop and track KPIs and team metrics to ensure timely setups, processing, and payments
•    Provide cost estimates as requested    by other business teams
•    Assist in developing training program and materials to help align the staff with company and department strategic goals    
•    Participate in and/or oversee testing and implementation of various system enhancements and as part of larger ERP and Residuals system projects


Basic Qualifications
•   Director level candidates should have 10+ years of related industry experience, preferably with significant residuals experience

•   Senior Director level candidates should have 12+ years of related industry experience, preferably with significant residuals

•   Bachelor’s degree required, a focus in Accounting, Finance, or related area preferred

Additional Qualifications

•    Ability to interpret and apply talent contracts and/or collective bargaining agreements
•    Self-starter, proactive, and analytical
•    Possess critical thinking skills to troubleshoot issues
•    Strong oral and written communication skills
•    Able to multitask and ability to manage time effectively to meet deadlines

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

 

Hiring Salary Range: $124,000.00 - 180,000.00. 

 

Candidates at the Director level can expect compensation within the range of $124,200 - $165,600.
Candidates at the Senior Director level can expect compensation within the range of $139,500 - $180,000

 

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.  The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable,  as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
