JOB SUMMARY
This position will assist EVP and VP level executives with Feature Productions in the pre-greenlight process as well as prep, production and post-production stages.  This position would be immersed in all facets of Production Finance.  

 

Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:


BANKING & G/L TRACKING
•    Monitors Bank Accounts
•    Bank Account Setup
•    Coordination of Accounting Systems
•    Monitors 3rd Party Billing and Receipts
•    Vendor Account Setup

 

REPORTING & CRITICAL REVIEW
•    Prepares Executive Management Reports for Upper Management
•    Assists with Production Incentive Tracking
•    Data Analysis

 

GENERAL
•    Manages User Access to Accounting Systems
•    Assists in Management of Production Accounting Teams
•    Processes Accounts Payable and Payroll
•    Manages Production Accounting File Retention
•    Responsible for filing departmental documents as well as answering phones for senior staff
•    Trains production accounting teams on studio systems, policies, and payment processes

 

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

 

Basic Qualifications:
•    Knowledge and experience using Accounting Software, such as SMART ACCOUNTING, PSL, SAP, Movie Magic
•    Knowledge and experience of Payroll Processing
•    Basic knowledge of Accounting Terminology (e.g. Debits, Credits, Trial Balance)

 

Desired Skills:
•    Proficient organization skills - ability to organize self and others, to prioritize tasks and work to multiple deadlines
•    Intermediate to advanced IT skills, in particular the MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
•    Understanding of Banking Systems
•    Knowledge and experience of booking Journal Entries
•    Willingness to learn
•    Basic knowledge of Film Production Terminology
