Overview & Responsibilities 
The domestic theatrical Marketing Strategy team is responsible for developing and managing the overall campaign strategy and planning, ensuring campaigns are accurately cadenced, cohesive, on brand, and that all partners have the latest information.
The Manager, Marketing Strategy identifies and provides information toward the development of campaign strategy and tracks campaign development. As a visual storytelling specialist, they weave the strategy and campaign into presentation materials. Driving strategic insight development, they proactively develop and maintain tools for internal marketing partners.

 

Responsibilities 

  • Responsible for delivering key information (target audience data inputs, social affinities, fanship, audience psychographics, and other sources) toward the development of campaign strategy on domestic theatrical releases and organizes information into deck(s) for review and discussion with strategy team and cross-functional partners.
  • Responsible for creation and maintenance of executive presentations, filmmaker decks, and filmmaker communications
  • Responsible for tracking campaign development and managing communication to broader marketing team via key strategy team documents
  • Responsible for tracking competitive campaigns and marketplace conditions. Proactively pulls insights for team discussion.
  • Responsible for Consumer Products material approvals. Works with third-party participants, IP-holders, Licensors/internal licensing team, and similar partners to evaluate materials against approved style guide and campaign strategy.
  • Manages department intern - Develops role and responsibilities and crafts overall experience. Serves as day-to-day manager and assigns and manages one longterm project.
  • Will manage and prioritize high volume of digital files and distribute them as needed efficiently, promptly, and accurately
  • Builds and maintains departmental graphics library
  • Adapts keyart for presentation use, or develops original looks in line with film positioning when necessary
  • Stays current on latest advertising, design trends, and associated technology
  • Works closely with strategy executives to ensure strategy deliverables are on schedule. Proactively takes measures to stay ahead of schedule. Raises concerns promptly.

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • The ideal candidate will possess demonstrated excellence in graphic design and visual communication and a strong command of marketing concepts.
  • 3-5 years graphic/presentation design experience required
  • Studio marketing or experience at advertising agency strongly preferred, preferably in brand strategy, brand management, or planning

 

Additional Qualifications 

  • Higher level thinking skills: Analysis, Synthesis, Critical thinking, and facility in communicating the above
  • Attention to detail and demonstrated organizational skills.
  • Basic video editing skills – able to trim and combine clips
  • Software: Expertise on Mac OS. Expert level knowledge of PowerPoint, Keynote, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; a relentless proofreader!
  • Multitasking and prioritization to meet deadlines.
