We are currently looking for a Product Manager, Privacy & Compliance, who will drive the Privacy product efforts within the Ad Supply - Revenue Product group to ensure the highest, sustained monetization of any platform in the free, ad-supported TV space! This role has a primary focus on ensuring our ad inventory is aligned with Privacy regulations, Compliance requirements, and Pluto TV/Paramount’s Standards & Practices across our global footprint.

You will be responsible for the Ad Supply product team efforts to ensure the ad monetization opportunities that exist with our advertising, content, and distribution partners are privacy compliant, clear, and maintain a privacy first approach for our viewership. You will work with Legal, Business, Product, and Technology partners to understand regulatory and market needs in order to create products that directly and measurably drive revenue while adhering to the letter and spirit of privacy and data law!

Identifying and mitigating risks, including opportunity costs, while balancing strategic and tactical approaches will be integral to success. Maintaining a detailed understanding of the rapidly evolving technical, industry, and regulatory landscape this will be necessary to inform feature and initiative prioritization and development.

Responsibilities Include:

This is a significant role with a wide range of responsibilities, including:

  • Cross-Functional Team Relationship: Develop and maintain healthy and productive, working relationships across the core Revenue Product/Program/Engineering teams, the critical non-Revenue teams (including: Legal, Privacy Paramount Platforms, Ad Operations, Sales Leadership, and Monetization teams.
  • Product Planning: Become familiar with and give to the product OKRs, goals, strategies, and roadmap plans for the Privacy & Compliance initiatives and ensure their prioritization on the all-up Revenue Product Roadmap. This includes defining and leading success metrics.
  • Privacy & Compliance Expert (SME): Become the subject matter expert on Privacy including knowledge of the regulatory landscape, primary vendors we use, current technology and known evolution of the industry tools used to drive the value proposition to Pluto’s business. Maintain a current and sophisticated understanding of the evolving privacy and data collection laws as well as new technical challenges and opportunities and plan for future disruptions. Develop and gain approval for specific revenue KPIs related to our Privacy & Compliance program.

Qualities / Experience We’re Seeking

  • 3+ years of commercial product management experience, particularly with validated leadership in the management of a product (or portfolio of products) through the software development lifecycle, from conception, design, development, production launch through ongoing performance measurement and optimization.
  • Experience with digital advertising, preferably in CTV or streaming video.
  • Experience with indirect programmatic eco-systems (SSP, DSP, Ad Exchanges)
  • Experience building cross-platform experiences (Web technologies, native mobile and CTV applications)
  • Adept at tailoring communications depending on the circumstances, whether the audience is technical, non-technical, Legal, or executive.
  • Comfort with analyzing data to identify trends, diagnose problems, and crafting solutions.

Nice to Haves

  • TV, video and/or Digital Media experience.
  • Working experience with Privacy law, Regulatory agencies, International Products.
  • Understanding of ad-supported video on-demand and/or video streaming technologies.
  • Experience and maturity running business or technology partnerships, including participation in strategy discussions, negotiations and reviewing contracts.
  • Very strong interpersonal skills with ability to achieve results through influence.
