Sr Financial Analyst - Paramount Pictures International

This position is responsible for various accounting and reporting matters in support of Paramount Pictures International with a focus on reconciliations, analytics and reporting!




  • Perform monthly and quarterly journal entries for close, including: revenue and distribution cost accruals; barter and gross-to-net transactions; sub distributor receivables and cash application; royalties and participations; and title allocations
  • Prepare quarterly results package, P&L and Balance Sheet variance analysis
  • Completes financial month end/quarter end close processes including revenue recognition, revenue accrual, cash application, A/R reconciliation and deferred income
  • Prepare lead schedules and support for international territory statutory filings
  • Prepare management reporting and analysis related to global film performance
  • Review contracts, propose accounting treatment and reconcile sub-system feeds to G/L
  • Assist with ad-hoc reporting and analysis
  • Support audit requests and perform special project as assigned


Basic Qualifications


  • Bachelors in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum 3-4 years related experience
  • Minimum 2 years' experience with a big four CPA firm
  • CPA or CPA in progress
  • Experience with financial analysis, US GAAP, IFRS
  • Experience with SAP (R3), Business Warehouse (BW)


Desired skills:


  • Strong excel skills including V-lookups, nesting formulas and modeling
  • Entertainment industry experience preferred
  • Experience with Hyperion & Essbase
  • Ability to research and apply advanced financial and accounting concepts
  • Ability to prioritize a high-volume workload and handle several tasks simultaneously and meet strict deadlines
  • Self-starter with ability to proactively identify issues and propose resolutions
  • Strong attention to detail and results driven work ethic
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
