CBS Television Stations consists of 28 CBS-owned stations in 17 major U.S. markets, as well as the stations’ digital properties. The portfolio of stations includes 15 that are part of the CBS Television Network, eight affiliates of The CW Network, three independent stations and two MyNetworkTV affiliates.

The station group’s properties also include CBSN Local, a joint initiative with CBS Interactive that features direct-to-consumer streaming news services in the markets where the Company has local news organizations. CBS Television Stations’ premium local content is also distributed to consumers by the group’s websites and mobile applications.


CBS Television Stations’ Miami properties: WFOR-TV, WBFS-TV, CBSMiami.com and CBSN Miami, are seeking an aggressive, creative go-getter to be the next Assistant News Director. The ideal candidate must be a highly motivated, people-oriented leader who can help oversee the day-to-day news operations across all platforms and show a track record of successfully motivating and directing a team of News Professionals. Duties include directing WFOR News department functions including creating news content, managing a large staff and fostering a creative environment. The Assistant News Director will be involved in hiring, creating schedules, budgeting, and administrative tasks, as well as motivating, and reviewing the performance of the news team. In addition, the Assistant News Director will coordinate content planning between news, digital, promotion, production, design, newspaper partners, and other stations in the group. Minimum 5 years' experience in broadcast news. Minimum 3 years management experience. Strong digital experience is a must. Reports directly to the News Director.
