Overview: 

The Paramount Streaming photo department is looking for a detail oriented Digital Asset Manager to join the team in the New York OR Los Angeles office. We are a dynamic, engaging team and are looking for someone who appreciates photography but really loves digital asset management. Come help us figure out how to work smarter, not harder! 

 

Reporting to the VP of Photography, this role will support the Paramount Streaming Photo team across a wide range of responsibilities. This role will work closely with the Photo Leads to manage the photography being produced by the team. You’ll run our workflow liaising with photographers, receiving their images, quality control, and keeping the team informed. This is a vital position at the heart of the team. This role requires a very detailed oriented person who can handle multiple projects at once. This is not a creative role. 

 

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and manage the network’s internal DAM database and archiving system
  • Adhere to and maintain digital naming conventions, file management, metadata, and quality control.
  • Work closely with photographers across the globe receiving their uploaded images, hard drives, metadata and confirming all uploads are not corrupt or missing files.
  • Process images as needed through Capture One
  • Includes but not limited to transferring, renaming, attaching metadata, adjusting, backing up & uploading to our DAM Database, and archiving our digital photography.
  • Update Paramount Press site. Upload pre-air and post-air images per show confirming they are “live” on the site with metadata attached. Maintain a consistent look for photography on the press site.
  • Receive digital assets directly from photographers and manage the assets throughout all aspects of the project with the team.
  • Be the conduit for sending photography to agencies, internal teams and archiving.
  • Help maintain and monitor photography budget
  • Retouching and color correcting unit and gallery imagery

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • 4-5+ year experience in Digital Asset Management, archiving or library science
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

 

Additional Qualifications:

  • Strong Knowledge in Digital File Specs & sizes, formats
  • Good understanding of photography and photo business
  • Very detail oriented
  • Works well under pressure
  • Good time management skills
  • Willingness to learn and work as a team
  • Ability to work remotely and return to office on a hybrid schedule
  • Some video experience is helpful

Hiring Salary Range: $56,000.00 - 84,000.00. 

 

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.  The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable,  as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
