About the Data Technology Solutions team:

Data Technology Solutions ingests Terabytes of data per day from dozens of vendors using auto-scaling parallel data processing software.  DTS works with business intelligence and marketing teams to develop data products and solutions using this data, including data science applications, near-real-time data delivery, dashboards, and custom applications.

Overview:

Paramount is seeking a Cloud Architect to join the Data Technology Solutions team (DTS). In this role, you will have the opportunity to architecture data solutions. We are a diverse and agile group that works in an exciting environment, partnering with multiple technology teams to ensure we deliver data insights and add a constant value to Paramount data. Responsibilities:

• Work with Data Engineering and Data Scientist teams on recommendations to architect data solutions

• Work with Data Engineers to architect and optimize applications to make use of cloud resources cost-effectively

• Work with Data Engineers to have their applications produce metrics and integrate the applications with monitoring and alerting systems

• Providing any development assistance using Python language to enhance and extend DTS platforms e.g. Google Composer, Kubernetes, Google Dataflow, Databricks, etc.

• Working with the DevOps team on the design and strategy for CI/CD processes, and best practices for Infrastructure as Code

• Recommending, consolidating, and centralizing tools, workflows, and infrastructure

• Providing cost-effective solutions for building scaleable and reliable data platform

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent preferred

• Python (5+ years)

• GCP (4+ Years)

• Kubernetes (4+ years)

• Helm (3+ years)

• Linux (5+ years)

• AWS (3+ Years)

• Proficient understanding of concepts like CI/CD, configuration management, cloud platforms, version control, automation, monitoring, analytics, and containerization

• Should have hands-on experience architecting data solutions in the past 2 years

• Terraform experience

• Jenkins (2+year)

• SQL (5+ years)

• Data Warehouse design (5+ years)
