We are seeking a Director of Product & Business Operations, with an area of focus on Live Events & Sports to join our team! This includes the assessment, prioritization, planning and management of cross-functional operations activities both pre and post launch. The ideal candidate will have strong experience working in an international context, managing digital product rollouts on aggressive timelines, and working with both internal and external partners across multiple regions and functions, including senior leadership.

 

The position is considered central as it coordinates initiatives across all Paramount+ markets globally, in addition to working closely with other central streaming teams, including Product Development, Media Supply Chain Operations, Marketing, Business Development, Legal, Finance, and Customer Support. You will also work with external partners, including third-party live event and sports distributors. 

 

This role reports to the Director of Business Operations for Paramount+ Global, based in Buenos Aires, Argentina and will be 100% remote or hybrid depending on the candidate's location. 


Overview and Responsibilities:
•    Act as the point of contact, coordinating needs between Business and Product teams with a focus on Live Events & Sports
•    Define and manage end-to-end processes that focus on business goals that optimize efficiency and scalability, as well as quality
•    Proactively identify process gaps and provide solutions to resolve them, with a focus on Live Events & Sports launches, as well as business-as-usual (BAU) operations & issue management
•    Be a subject matter expert for all Paramount+ Live Events & Sports Business Operations end-to-end processes
•    Provide communications to different areas of the business, ensuring alignment and awareness across the organization
•    Manage integrations, as well as those that help streamline ongoing operational efforts, including compliance, content operations, quality improvements, partner communications, etc.
•    Support intake of all central and regional product and operational requests related to Live Events & Sports
•    Help facilitate negotiations between teams to ensure alignment between roadmap, resourcing, and commercial terms
•    Collaborate across multiple teams to track timely deliverables
•    Support user acceptance testing cycles and day-of-launch activities for all new event integrations
•    Ensure all partner and operational documentation related to Live Events is clear, concise, and maintained on an ongoing basis
•    Assist with global operational roadmaps
•    Ongoing general support for the Product & Business Operations team, including agendas management (as needed), ensuring coordination and alignments among Live Events & Sports and general Business Operations tasks
•    If necessary, lean in to support other high-priority business initiatives related to Paramount+


Basic Qualifications:
•    Minimum 8+ years of experience in a software development environment for streaming


Additional Qualifications:
•    Expertise in global media supply chains, as well as general knowledge of streaming video specs/formats, encoding and delivery methods
•    Deep understanding of Live Events & Sports integrations and operations, including associated feature development and rights considerations
•    Solid experience in proactively identifying and handling risks & issues, fast paced projects, and conflict resolution
•    Strong partner management/customer satisfaction
•    Agile approach with a focus on process improvement
•    Ability to adapt to the change that is required when scaling a business
•    Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, innovative with a sharp eye for detail
•    Excellent written and oral communication as well as presentation skills
•    Able to coordinate and lead complex meetings
•    Thrive in a multi-cultural environment spread out across the globe
•    Excellent organization and problem-solving skills
•    High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously
•    Other languages knowledge will be considered as a plus (Spanish/Portuguese/European languages)
