Overview:

 

We’re looking for a Creative Director to join our growing team. They’ll lead our creative services team to create exciting multichannel brands, engaging digital creative and compelling on-air assets. Working closely with the VP Design to refine and connect existing brands under the CBS Sports Digital Umbrella (Podcasts, Email, Shows, Social, Marketing, and digital brands). Designers are true leaders within our teams. They help define strategy and direction, set the bar for design standards, and find solutions to complex, previously unsolved problems. Responsibilities:

  • Develop compelling, best-in-class stories, creative concepts, and digital experiences that deliver on business growth and goals. 

  • Lead a team of creatives across branding, social, and marketing initiatives.

  • Develop and expand on our core digital brands (CBS Sports, MaxPreps, Sportsline, HQ, and 247Sports) across different platforms and digital channels.

  • Review work and establish design standards across Social, Marketing, and Branding. 

  • Work with Marketing and Editorial on strategy around creative initiatives. 

Basic Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in-house or at creative agencies, working across digital design and branding. 

  • Amazing portfolio of brand, marketing, and design work that demonstrates strong conceptual thinking and experience bringing brands to life across a variety of channels. 

  • Comfortable leading a team of talented designers while also doing design work yourself.

  • You have a can-do attitude never thinking “that's not my job”.

  • Impeccable taste, as well as a practitioner's background in design.

  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and other modern design tools.

  • Is a fresh thinker who embraces challenges and new methods of thinking

 

Additional Qualifications:

  • You bring visual flair and conceptual excellence to the work, inspiring team members to raise the creative bar.

  • Understanding of motion graphics
