  • Work with Senior Creative Director and Line Producer in overseeing all aspects of development, pre-production, production and post-production across podcast properties.


  • Communicate to Senior Creative Director, EIC, Line Producer, and other appropriate production staff regarding the status of work and any problems that may arise.
  • Present possible solutions to production problems.
  • Ensure desired quality and style of show is met within the parameters of the show’s network-approved schedule and budget.
  • Attend and contribute to all relevant production meetings.
  • Assist with special projects as necessary.
  • This could include but is not limited to main title, title cards, press art, style guide, tool kit, and any network requests.
  • Development:
  • Contribute significantly to casting, production design, and creative staffing.
  • Pre-production:
  • Help oversee the creative pipeline from concept to springboards to script delivery
  • Thoroughly review creative materials to ensure quality of show is met in accordance with the schedule and overarching series tone and style.
  • Ensure all creative notes are properly addressed.
  • Attend voice recordings to ensure character continuity.
  • Ensure creative materials have been routed for proper network approvals (including the approval of EICs and any necessary parties)
  • Production:
  • Communicate regularly with production studio regarding status of work.
  • Attend records and review initial mixes, providing notes/guidance to production studio in a timely fashion.
  • Ensure production studio consistently adheres to quality and style of show.
  • Ensure creative materials have been routed for proper network approvals (including the approval of EICs and any necessary parties)
  • Post-production:
  • Review initial assembly of episode mix.
  • Call, review and approve revisions within parameters of the show’s retake allowance.
  • Ensure that all creative revision materials are completed and sent to production studio in a timely fashion.
  • Ensure that all revisions are cut into final edit.
  • Ensure creative materials have been routed for proper network approvals (including the approval of EICs and any necessary parties) and ensure network notes are implemented
  • If necessary, attend ADR recordings to ensure character continuity.
  • Attend and contribute to music and sound effects spotting, preview and final mix.


  • Solid knowledge of all facets of the podcast process.
  • Strong audio and structural storytelling skills.
  • Knowledge and/or strong interest in working in kids’ content
  • Experience working in kids audio content, desired.
  • Strong time and resource management skills.
  • Solid leadership and communication skills
  • On-the-fly problem solving ability.
  • Ability to be creative on demand.
  • Ability to multitask and work well under pressure.
  • Knowledge of or willingness to learn applicable design software and hardware.
  • Ability to edit and record audio software

Additional Qualifications:

  • 2 – 5 years supervisory experience in animation preferred, per VP/General Manager’s approval.
  • Animation direction experience a plus.
