Job Description: 
This position is part of the Multiplatform Analytics team and will play a key role in supporting programming and content decision-making across all Nickelodeon brands and platforms. The Senior Analyst will be an important resource to the team and help build a cohesive research-based narrative around how kids are watching content in this changing landscape. The ideal candidate will have a passion for telling compelling stories with data and support key partners by providing timely, and insightful analysis. 


Responsibilities Include:

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret Nielsen ratings data for recurring reports and program updates
  • Maintain and update programming schedules in Nielsen systems
  • Integrate cross-platform reporting into research deliverables to tell a more complete story of content performance
  • Extract and read data from additional sources beyond linear such as Apps/.com, SVOD, VOD, and PlutoTV among others
  • Provide support on ad hoc research requests for all lines of business including Programming, Scheduling, Marketing, Press and Business Development teams
  • Serve as an expert on Nickelodeon brands and competitive sets in the linear and streaming space
  • Identify trends in kids viewing behaviors and provide concrete insights to senior leadership
  • Collaborate on special projects such as tentpoles, partnerships, press releases, and show pick-ups


Basic Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of related work experience in television/media and data analysis
  • Passion for television across multiple platforms – the more you watch, the better!
  • Comfortable working with large data sets and crafting informative data visualizations
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with ability to set priorities and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong analytic and communication skills, both written and oral
  • Organized self-starter who works well both independently and with a team


Additional Qualifications: 

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Proficiency with TV measurement tools including Nielsen systems (NPower, MyEvnts/NCL, StarMedia/MultiTrak) and methodologies
  • Familiarity with web analytic tools (Adobe Analytics) and Comscore systems (On-Demand Essentials)
  • Experience with data visualization platforms like Tableau is a plus
