Sr Manager Programming & Planning - MTV Entertainment Group

The role of Program Panning Sr. Manager is a highly specialized, partnership oriented position working across all brands embedded in the Programming Team within the MTV Entertainment Group. Supply day-to-day revenue generation opportunities while maximizing ad time, competitive commercial compliance & promotional time for the networks. Primary constituency includes the Pricing & Inventory (P&I) and traffic teams, programming brand partners, operations & development teams. This high functioning candidate needs to exhibit excellent potential and reflect the values of the ViacomCBS culture including professionalism, accuracy & empathy toward other’s workflow requirements. They must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment & adaptable to change. 

-  Explore innovative means of maximizing schedule structure to ensure revenue growth

-  Ensure accuracy of commercial breaks, advertising & promo time

-  Participate in the strategic management, stewardship & servicing of all P&I inventory requests

-  Provide appropriate management back up for series, special, and movie inventory

-  Contribute to scenario planning, document generation across MTV Entertainment Group

-  Manage relationship with Ad Sales/P&I as related to schedule changes, formatting and break allowances

-  Participate in scheduling strategy discussions & inventory scenario creation as appropriate

-  Serve as on call member of team for special events & simulcasts as needed

-  Present as needed on a quarterly basis to the cross VMN programming team

-  3-5 years' experience in traffic management 

-  Proficiency in network scheduling systems (e.g. PTS), Excel (formulas), PowerPoint and Mac programs 

-  Experience in quantitive research (ratings) and/or finance
