Web Engineer

Showtime Networks is seeking an experienced Web Engineer/Javascript Developer to be based out of our New York City location. Ideal candidates will be innovative, self-motivated, a quick study, and willing to develop new skills while constantly improving existing abilities. The candidate must also be a strong multi-tasker with strong time-management skills. In this position, you will build and integrate the front and back-end frameworks for our standalone service SHOWTIME, and our TV Everywhere service, Showtime Anytime across multiple platforms.
You will join a focused team of developers with a wide range of skills to build and support highly available, high-performance web sites and HTML5 apps on platforms like game consoles and connected TVs. Our products are available to millions of users, so writing code that is centered on the user’s experience, and conscious of their needs is important. We’re building the future of streaming, and along the way, we get to play with some great tech.


Key Technologies: Javascript and any of its frameworks (Vue, React, Svelte, Angular, etc.) as well as Node, HTML5, CSS and any comparable testing frameworks or tools


Basic Qualifications:
•    3+ years of frontend development experience
•    Background in web development
•    Vue experience 

Additional Qualification:
•    UX skills
•    Accessibility experience
•    Degree in Computer Science (or equivalent) is preferred
