Primary responsibilities include leading and handling a technology team to design and innovate technology project delivery, daily maintenance of hardware and software systems, as well as technical design. 
This opportunity will lead and develop capital project designs and implementation plans. This position will create work plans, timelines, and budgets. Providing hands-on operational troubleshooting of technical issues related to audio, video, transmission, IP encoding, cloud control applications, QC testing, risk mitigation planning, and workflows for automation, on various technology platforms. 
Working with Operations you will lead a team of engineers in the daily support of news and content production, including studios, control rooms, remote content acquisition, streaming playout systems, remote sites, microwave systems, encoding, routing, Dejero, PSIP, guide data, Sony ELC automation, lighting controllers, and intercom systems. 
Run and maintain four Brand New Gates Air UHF solid state Transmitters with new Antennas, control systems, and fiber STL delivery systems. RF Engineering knowledge is required. 
Candidate will possess knowledge of technical configuration and metadata required for content delivery to digital media, and ATSC platforms.
We believe the right candidate must be able to solve audio technical related issues, video assets and workflows that occur across the digital workflow and distribution chain. Collaborate with vendors, selecting and ordering equipment, orchestrating, and scheduling engineering staff for daily operation. Providing new technical and workflow designs as well as being responsible for the maintenance team within the studio and field environment.
Add QC processes in place to improve products, flag issues, and reduce content downtime. They will participate in the creation of disaster recovery plans, as well as maintain FCC compliance in operation, transmission licenses, EAS, and closed captioning.
The position will support and conduct testing related to back up systems, identifying and correcting shortfalls.
Basic Qualifications:
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to provide constructive and motivating feedback to staff on practices, tools, and performance, related to leading a team of system engineers.
•    A Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, in a technology field is preferred with 5+ years of staff management experience in a systems environment related to streaming media production, studio, and RF broadcasting.
•    Coach, mentor, motivate and evaluate staff, putting them in the best place to succeed.
•    A hard-working and collaborative standout colleague with a vision for process and delivery. 24x7x365 support on an as needed basis.
•    Proficient in Microsoft office, TEAMS planner, and slack.
•    Make sound independent decisions, know when to escalate issues. Ability to prioritize multiple priorities with a sense of urgency and adaptability.
