Overview and Responsibilities




The Financial Analyst will be a meaningful member of the Paramount Digital Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team and will interact with many different groups within the organization. Primary responsibilities will include ensuring the accuracy and integrity of forecasts and budgets, tracking performance, leading monthly operating expenses, and using analysis to assist in driving informed decision making. This position focuses on the Central Services and Sales divisions, but will also involve all other Business Units within Paramount Streaming.

This position offers the right candidate an excellent opportunity within a successful and growing global media organization. It will provide multifaceted exposure to the evolving interactive content industry while working within the broader media umbrella of Paramount Corporation.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Budgeting/Forecasting. Work on business models to run forecasting of the monthly P&L and drive the annual budget and financial plans for Central Services and Ad Sales Departments
  • Reconciliation and variance analysis of forecast to actual results. Work with Accounting in preparation for monthly close and analysis of results versus forecast/budget.
  • Work with different business partners around the company (HR, Marketing, Product, Engineering) gaining insight and knowledge that could affect forecasts.
  • Handle accruals, contracts and invoices for Central and Sales Division
  • Expense management, risk analysis and mitigation. Actively monitor expense levers and cost controls required to maintain profitability and achieve budgeted profit targets.
  • Other ad hoc requests and analyses


Basic Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s Degree or Associates degree with focus in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Business Administration (or similar field) or Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in FP&A, finance, or equivalent quantitative roles required
  • High level of proficiency in Excel, experience in preparing complex financial models and manipulating large datasets required
  • Strong communicator with the ability to moderate based on audience and demonstrate an ability to partner with a range of cross functional partners


Additional Qualifications:



  • Experience in a highly analytical environment preferred
  • Strong work ethic and an acute attention to detail required
  • Experience with Salesforce, Cognos TM1 and Oracle Financials strongly preferred but not required
