The Trade & Communications team is a cross-functional group leading all aspects of industry partnerships and content marketing in support of the Paramount Advertising organization. We promote the Paramount portfolio by telling our story to clients and advertising partners. Building teams end-to-end experiences internally through various communication channels, and externally through earned and owned social, newsletter campaigns, B2B events and thought leadership.


We are looking for a Senior Manager to join the Industry Partnerships & Programming arm of our Trade & Communications team. You will play a meaningful role in developing, managing, driving and reporting on revenue-generating tactics in support of Paramount Advertising. The ideal candidate has a “start-up” mentality, will quickly get up to speed on our business landscape, is comfortable working cross-functionally across a matrixed organization with multiple partners, and has a true passion for marketing and communications. The Senior Manager will supervise a Manager, report into a Senior Director, and be based out of our San Francisco or New York office.


Responsibilities:

  • Implement industry-facing trade partnerships that support Paramount Advertising objectives and promote key narratives to the marketplace. You will own the entire process for a number of partnerships, from identifying deal terms to legal review and contract process, to handling all deliverables to fulfill various partnership programs
  • Establish partnership KPIs that deliver ROI and top-of-mind awareness with our clients and the buying community
  • Work cross-functionally with a wide array of internal stakeholders including sales, editorial, content marketing, production, legal, design, connecting dots and facilitating best practices for executing trade partnership initiatives
  • Keep a pulse on the media industry, understanding the needs, wants, and motivations of the buying community, connecting the dots to our partnership initiatives and consistently evaluating our approach to ensure relevancy and leadership influence of Paramount Advertising’s narratives
  • Represent business unit as an internal guide and key point of contact for both sales and cross-functional groups, answering questions, educating Sales about partnership and corporate industry membership opportunities that support their clients’ objectives, and facilitating sales enablement initiatives that drive efficiencies and growth
  • Maintain our strategic trade partnerships roadmap to communicate with internal and external audiences
  • Lead a junior employee who will implement such projects as a large-scale charitable giving across the Sales organization, push-in social impact programs for our HoldCo agency clients, B2B events, Award events and sponsorships, partnership budgeting and invoicing, etc.
  • Contribute to team advancement projects (e.g. internal process audits and improvements) that create new efficiencies and improve work quality

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in a communications or marketing role
  • Bachelor's degree 


Additional Qualifications

  • Strong storytelling skills, with an understanding of how to craft and evolve narratives
  • Talent in distilling complex information into simple, memorable terms that Sales, Marketing and clients can grasp and act upon
  • Sense of urgency and ability to prioritize projects based on deadlines and importance
  • Independent and innovative thinking to streamline and advance projects and workflows
  • Strong proficiency in presentation software with an eye for aesthetics (e.g. PowerPoint, Google Slides) and project management tools (e.g. Airtable) with a general understanding of how project management tools work together is critical
  • Positive attitude, insatiable curiosity, resourcefulness, strong work ethic and a creative mind

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

 

Hiring Salary Range: $110,000.00 - 117,500.00. The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.  The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable,  as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.  This position is eligible to earn sales incentive compensation.
