Provide support to the Vice President/News. Perform administrative duties for duopoly News department. 


  •  Heavy phones/rolling calls, meeting scheduling, messages, memos, requisitions, purchase orders, expense reports, new hire orientation, and supply ordering.
  • Serve as Travel Coordinator for team of 50+ anchors/reporters: arranging domestic and international travel for story coverage including all accompanying paperwork such as travel authorizations and requisitions; responsible 24/7 on-call.
  • Liaison between upper-level management and talent with regard to highly confidential, time-sensitive contracts.
  • Must be able to coordinate and track all newsroom attendance and time off and complete weekly reports to newsroom managers.
  • Oversee daily office functions of newsroom; coordinate all department staff events including holiday dinners, staff meals, office parties, etc.
  • Monthly paperwork for Finance Department
  • Ordering departmental supplies: flowers for birthdays, funerals, babies, office supplies, etc.
  • Various other duties as requested



  • Minimum of 2 years of  experience in an administrative or operations role 
  • Experience booking travel strongly preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and able to complete large reports for presentation. Must be adept at creating and organizing Powerpoint presentations.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to optimally manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize workload efficiently, and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment

College degree preferred.
